Direct flights from Nepalgunj to Kailash Manasarovar commence today

NEPALGUNJ: Today marks the inauguration of a direct flight from Nepalgunj to Kailash Manasarovar in the Tibetan Autonomous Region of China, a significant achievement after persistent efforts.

Shree Airlines operated the maiden flight, carrying 38 Indian tourists to Kailash Manasarovar, informed Keshav Neupane, the regional director of Siddhartha Business Group.

The Indian tourists, hailing from cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, Gujarat, and Uttar Pradesh, were flown to Kailash Manasarovar, as reported by Neupane.

Dr. Om Mishra, Managing Director of Mero Planet, expressed his delight at the resumption of flights to Kailash Manasarovar after a prolonged hiatus.

The introduction of a direct flight between Nepalgunj and Kailash Manasarovar is seen as a milestone, solidifying Nepalgunj’s status as a prominent tourist destination.

Shreeram Sigdel, Chairperson of Nepal Association of Tour and Travels (NATA), Banke Chapter, voiced confidence that the newly established direct flight from Nepalgunj to Kailash Manasarovar would significantly contribute to the promotion of tourism in Nepalgunj.

He also emphasized the need to enhance the effectiveness of flights between Nepalgunj and Pokhara.
