‘Monlam’ worship organized in Lumbini



LUMBINI: The Mahaguru Bhumchhok and Pranidhan Monlam Worship organized at Lumbini, the birth place of Buddha, has concluded.

The worship held in front of the Mayadevi Temple and featuring recitation of 100,000 incantations was organized, wishing for world peace.

Vice-chair of the Lumbini Development Trust (LDT) Dr Lharkyal Lama (Khenpo Chhime) said besides world peace, the worship was solemnized wishing for the wellbeing of nature and the living beings.

He said the Bhumchhok and Monlam rituals were conducted in the presence of Rinpochhe, the Lama priests, bhikkhus and anis (Buddhist monks and nuns) this time to promote religious activities in Lumbini.

Together with the LDT Vice-chair, the first Khando Chhiring Rimpochhe, Chhyogni Rinpochhe, Tungo Karma Sangmbo Rinpocche participated in the Monlam worship organized by Mahaguru World Peace.
