Ghanshyam Bhusal invites Bhim Rawal to Unified Socialist, calls Oli an authoritarian

KATHMANDU: CPN-Unified Socialist General Secretary Ghanshyam Bhusal criticized the leadership of the CPN-UML and its Chairperson KP Sharma Oli during a program in Kathmandu on Saturday, alleging that Oli’s leadership style is authoritarian and divisive.

Bhusal claimed that Bhim Rawal was expelled from the UML for questioning Oli’s leadership. He accused Oli of perceiving critics as enemies while favoring those who flatter him.

“It would be beneficial for Oli to step down from party leadership, as his strategies have consistently failed in the current political landscape,” Bhusal said, urging Rawal to join the Unified Socialist party.

Addressing the ongoing cooperative fraud case, Bhusal expressed concerns about irregularities and called for an impartial judicial investigation into ongoing cases. He also said political vendetta might have been the reason Rabi Lamichhane was arrested.

Reflecting on the broader political situation, Bhusal expressed disappointment over the country’s lack of visionary leadership despite being a republic.

He criticized political parties for losing relevance and emphasized the urgent need to establish a responsible political force for the new political system.

Bhusal concluded by urging leaders to prioritize the establishment of rights and justice, emphasizing the importance of building a party that resonates with the aspirations of the people and addresses the nation’s pressing challenges.
