Earthquake jolts Kalikot

Western Nepal experiences seven tremors in past 13 days



KALIKOT: An earthquake struck Kalikot last night. The tremor, measuring 3.7 in magnitude, occurred at 11:37 PM on Friday, with its epicenter located near Lali in Kalikot.

The National Seismological Center reported that since the beginning of the month of the Nepali month of Poush, seven earthquakes have occurred across six districts in western Nepal.

In the past 13 days alone, western Nepal has experienced these tremors.

According to the National Seismological Center, a 4.3 magnitude earthquake hit near Dhamena in Bajhang on Poush 2, followed by another tremor of magnitude 4.1 on Poush 3 in the same area.

Additionally, a 4.7 magnitude earthquake occurred with its epicenter near Nesyang in Manang on Poush 4.
