RSP Chair Rabi being brought to Kathmandu for statement

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chair Rabi Lamichhane is being transferred from Pokhara to Kathmandu today.

Police have confirmed that he has been moved from the Kaski District Police Office to Pokhara Airport.

Lamichhane is being brought to Kathmandu to provide a statement regarding the alleged embezzlement of savings at the Swarnalaxmi Cooperative in Kalimati.

The Kathmandu District Court had previously issued an arrest warrant against Lamichhane and his associate Chhabilal Joshi in connection to the cooperative’s fund mismanagement case.

According to RSP spokesperson Manish Jha, Lamichhane will be flown to Kathmandu on a Buddha Air flight scheduled for 5:30 PM today.

Meanwhile, his associate Joshi was brought to Kathmandu for questioning last week and has since been returned to Kaski Police custody.
