Security personnel make all-out efforts for rescue and relief; over 750 rescued in Kathmandu Valley alone



KATHMANDU: Security agencies and government resources have been effectively deployed in disaster-stricken areas across the country.

They have been making every effort to rescue those in need and provide essential relief.

During a meeting of the ‘monsoon preparedness and response command post,’ chaired by Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, officials decided to enhance rescue and relief operations and gather information on the extent of damages.

Minister Lekhak urged security agencies and related bodies to promptly clear significant obstacles.

“All security agencies are fully committed to reducing the impacts of floods and landslides,” he stated.

Teams from the Nepali Army, Nepal Police, and the Armed Police Force have rescued over 750 individuals.
