Landslide sweeps away village in Kavre, four missing



KAVRE: A landslide has swept away an entire village in Thumki, located in Panauti Municipality Ward No. 11, Balthali, in Kavre. The incident occurred late in the night, forcing the villagers to flee as the landslide descended from the hills above the settlement.

The house of Arjun Bhandari was completely wiped out by the landslide. Four individuals, who were staying as guests at Bhandari’s house, are reported missing, and rescue efforts are underway to locate them.

The affected villagers have been relocated to Thumki Resort for safety. Due to continuous landslides, more details of the damage are yet to come.
