KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecast Division has stated that monsoon wind is currently affecting the country. In addition, there is an impact of the low pressure system in Madhya Pradesh and surrounding areas of India.
As a result, the country is experiencing widespread monsoon rains. Today, it will be generally cloudy to completely cloudy across the country.
There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at many places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Karnali provinces and some places in Far West Province.
According to the division, there will be heavy rain in some places of Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and few places in the rest of the provinces
Windstorms may also occur in some parts of Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
The department has warned of continued rain over the next 24 hours and advised residents to take precautions to prevent disasters like landslides, flooding, and erosion in vulnerable areas.
