Ashok Raj Sigdel appointed as Chief of Nepal Army

KATHMANDU: Ashok Raj Sigdel has been appointed as the Chief of the Nepal Army.

The appointment was made by President Ram Chandra Paudel under Article 267 (5), according to the Office of the President.

Sigdel’s new role will officially begin on Bhadra 24.

Prior to this, he was serving as the acting Chief of the Nepal Army.
