Kathmandu District Court issues arrest warrant against Rabi

KATHMANDU: Kathmandu District Court has also issued an arrest warrant against Rabi Lamichhane, chair of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, in connection with the alleged embezzlement of funds from Swarnalakshmi Multipurpose Cooperative.

Lamichhane, who was arrested on October 18 in Kathmandu, is currently in police custody in Kaski.

The warrant, issued by Judge Shishir Raj Dhakal, also names his associate and former DIG Chhabi Lal Joshi.

This development enables Kathmandu police to summon Lamichhane for further investigation and statements.

Lamichhane had previously been detained in Kaski and Rupandehi for questioning related to similar allegations.
