Heavy rainfall likely in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces



KATHMANDU: Several areas in Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, as well as some places in Koshi, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces, are currently experiencing light to moderate rain.

This weather pattern is attributed to the prevailing monsoon air across the country, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

This afternoon, the weather is expected to be partly to mostly cloudy nationwide, with light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, possible in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and the hilly regions of Sudurpaschim province.

Later tonight, the weather will remain partly to mostly cloudy.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely in Lumbini and Karnali, with some scattered precipitation in other parts of the country.

Additionally, heavy to very heavy rain is possible in one or two locations within Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

In the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is anticipated in some areas of the Lumbini region, according to the morning bulletin from the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.
