KATHMANDU: The monsoon is currently impacting the country, as reported by the Weather Forecasting Division.

As of Friday morning, significant weather changes are observed in the Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.

According to the Division, skies in other parts of the country are partly to mostly cloudy.

Isolated areas in the Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces are experiencing light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning.

The Division has also recorded heavy rainfall in one or two locations in Madhes province.

Weather conditions are expected to remain variable across the country into this afternoon, with a likelihood of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in some areas of the Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Tonight, skies will be partly to mostly cloudy nationwide.

The Division has forecasted a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in numerous places in the Bagmati, Madhes, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as a few places elsewhere.

It also mentions the possibility of heavy rainfall in isolated spots in the Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
