Rs 15.70 billion allocated to Ministry of Forests



KATHMANDU: Finance Minister Barshaman Pun presented the budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2081-82 on Tuesday, allocating Rs 15.70 billion to the Ministry of Forests and Environment.

In the current fiscal year, former Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat had allocated Rs 15.56 billion to the Ministry of Forests and Environment.

The economic survey released by the Ministry of Finance shows that by the end of the current fiscal year, revenue from the forestry sector reached Rs 4.86 billion.
