KATHMANDU: Unveiling the fiscal budget 2024/025 on Tuesday in a joint session of the Federal Parliament, Finance Minister Barshaman Pun disclosed plans to leverage government and private buildings in Kathmandu Valley and Butwal for the establishment of IT parks.

Notably, these parks will offer free space to operate ‘work stations.’

Minister Pun elaborated, stating, “Utilizing existing public and private infrastructure, the development of Information Technology Parks will progress, bolstered by enhancements in high-speed internet, electricity, security, and other vital amenities.”

Additionally, a provision for complimentary ‘work station’ usage for a duration of up to three years within the IT park premises was underscored.
