Cyclone ‘Remal’ affecting Nepal’s weather



KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has stated that Cyclone ‘Remal’ is currently affecting Nepal’s weather, in addition to influencing the local wind patterns.

According to the Division, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is occurring in some areas of Gandaki Province, including the Kathmandu Valley in Bagmati Province.

Similarly, the rest of the hilly areas, including Koshi, Madhes, and Karnali provinces, are experiencing partial to normal rainfall.

This afternoon, the weather is expected to be partly to mostly clear in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, with the remaining regions being partly cloudy.

There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in some places in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and a few places in Madhes and Karnali provinces, along with thunder and gale.

Additionally, there is a possibility of light snowfall at a few places in the high hilly and Himalayan areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

Tonight, the weather will remain mostly clear in the hilly areas of the country, including the Koshi Province, while the rest of the country will also see mostly clear skies.

There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with lightning in some places of the Koshi Province and a few places in the remaining hilly areas.
