Vote count underway for Bajhang by-election

KATHMANDU: The vote count for the by-election held in Bajhang-1 on Saturday has commenced.

The counting process initiated from Chabbis Pathibhara Rural Municipality.

All ballot boxes have been transported to the district headquarters, Chainpur.

The vote counting is taking place at the District Court in Chainpur.

Out of 61,748 eligible voters, Bajhang recorded a turnout of 30,328 votes on Saturday.

Eleven candidates competed for a seat in the Provincial Assembly during the election.
