Vote count for Bajhang by-election to commence at 1 pm today

KATHMANDU: The vote count for the by-election conducted in Bajhang-1 on Saturday is slated to begin at 1 PM this afternoon.

Following an all-party meeting held this morning, a decision was reached to commence the vote count at the aforementioned time.

Currently, all ballot boxes have been securely transported to the district headquarters in Chainpur.

The counting process will take place at the District Court in Chainpur, where officials will tabulate the votes cast by the electorate.

Out of a total of 61,748 eligible voters, Bajhang recorded a turnout of 30,328 votes on Saturday.

The by-election, held to fill a seat in the Provincial Assembly, saw participation from 11 candidates vying for the position.
