All-party meeting at 11 am precedes vote count for Bajhang by-election

KATHMANDU: The vote count for the by-election held in Bajhang-1 on Saturday is set to commence this afternoon.

Chief Election Officer Sudharsan Lamichhane has announced that an all-party meeting is scheduled for 11 am today, preceding the vote count.

Following the meeting, the vote count will promptly begin, with all ballot boxes already collected at the district headquarters in Chainpur.

The counting process will take place at the District Court in Chainpur.

Out of 61,748 eligible voters, Bajhang recorded a turnout of 30,328 votes on Saturday.

The election, which featured 11 candidates vying for a seat in the Provincial Assembly, attracted significant participation from the electorate.
