Light rain with thunder and lightning expected today

KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has reported on the significant influence of western winds and local winds in Nepal.

According to the Division, the morning skies range from partly to mostly cloudy.

Light rain is observed in some areas of the hilly regions, particularly in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki.

Thursday afternoon is expected to bring partly to generally cloudy conditions in the hilly regions, with the rest of the country experiencing partly cloudy skies.

There’s a likelihood of light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in select areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

Additionally, isolated instances of light rain with thunder and lightning may occur elsewhere across the nation.

Furthermore, there’s a chance of light snowfall at a few spots in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

At night, the hilly areas will remain partly to generally cloudy, while the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy conditions.

Similar to daytime forecasts, there’s a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in various parts of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces during the night.

Additionally, light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning may occur in one or two places outside these regions.

Moreover, light snowfall may be observed in high hilly and Himalayan areas of the country.
