KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has emphasized the need to address the issues faced by victims of loan sharking through judicial processes, stating that the government is coordinating with the court for a resolution.

During a meeting of the National Concern and Coordination Committee under the National Assembly on Wednesday, the Prime Minister expressed the government’s commitment to work in coordination with the court to find a solution to the problems faced by victims of loan sharking.

He pointed out that during court proceedings, favorable decisions for the victims may be anticipated.

The Prime Minister also informed that discussions are underway with victims of loan sharking, victims of microfinance, and cooperative victims.

He emphasized the government’s efforts to reach a consensus with the court to effectively resolve these issues.

He stated, “The government is now seriously engaging with the court to address this issue in a different nature. If this government and the court come together, a decision in favor of the victims can be expected.”
