KATHMANDU: The position of Chairman of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) is open for applications.

The selection committee formed under the coordination of  National Planning Commission Vice-Chairman Dr. Min Bahadur Shrestha announced the invitation for applications on Wednesday.

Interested eligible Nepali citizens can submit their applications within the next 15 days, by March 13, along with a non-refundable fee of five thousand rupees.

As per the prepared procedure by the selection committee, candidates aspiring to become the Chairman of the Board must have a minimum of seven years of experience in various sectors related to securities and a postgraduate degree.

Experience in commerce, law, securities market management, finance, development of the capital market, economic research, and financial sectors will be considered.

The selection committee has outlined a detailed process, and the applicants must possess a minimum of seven years of relevant experience along with a postgraduate degree to qualify for the position of Board Chairman.
