Four Nepalis lost lives in Sonipat road mishap, one more in critical condition



KATHMANDU: A tragic incident occurred at Mamabhagwati Chowk in Sonipat, India, when a high-speed Ford Eco Sport car from Bahalgarh, Haryana, collided with a group of five Nepali youths who were returning home on bicycles and scooters.

The collision resulted in the tragic demise of four individuals, and one Nepali youth is currently in critical condition. Additionally, three occupants of the car sustained serious injuries.

The deceased have been identified as Khila Bahadur Magar, Amar, and Kamal Bahadur Khatri from Molung-4, Okhaldhunga.

The other two victims are Dal Bahadur Rayamajhi from Arghakhanchi and Arjun Sunuwar from Sarlahi. Accompanying them was their friend Dil Bahadur Ghimire, also from Okhaldhunga.

Meanwhile, Rhitik, Mohit, and Arun, who were in the car, are reported to be in critical condition.

All injured individuals have been promptly referred to Rohtak PGIMS for medical treatment.

According to information from Indian media sources, the driver of the car was under the influence of alcohol, and the vehicle was over-speeding at the time of the collision.

The full details of the incident are still pending as authorities continue their investigation into this tragic event.
