PM Oli to meet Chinese President Xi on Dec 3



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) KP Oli is scheduled to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping and other senior Chinese officials on December 3 as part of his official visit to China.

Prime Minister Oli will meet with the Chinese President and other high-ranking officials the day after his arrival in Beijing.

According to a source from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Prime Minister Oli, who will depart for China on December 2, is expected to spend four days in Beijing and return on December 5.

“High-level meetings with the Chinese President and Prime Minister will be held on December 3, the day after the Prime Minister’s arrival in Beijing,” the ministry source stated.

Although preparations for Prime Minister Oli’s visit are in full swing, an official announcement has not yet been made.

It is expected that the visit will be officially announced by both Beijing and Kathmandu on November 29.

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana is scheduled to leave for China on Thursday (tomorrow) to finalize preparations for the visit.
