KATHMANDU: Nepal has entered the final of SAFF Women Championship-2024 by defeating India 4-2 in a penalty shootout on Sunday.

The match went to penalties after both teams scored one goal each in regulation time. Shortly after the game resumed following a delay of over an hour, Sabitra Bhandari scored to bring Nepal level at 1-1.

Earlier, India took the lead in the 70th minute, but Nepal quickly restarted play and scored. However, the referee disallowed Nepal’s goal, sparking protests that led to an hour-long disruption.
