SAFF Women’s Championship: Nepal equalizes against India after extended disruption



KATHMANDU: Nepal has leveled the score against India in the SAFF Women’s Championship semifinal. Following a delay of over an hour, Sabitra Bhandari scored to bring Nepal to a 1-1 tie.

Earlier, India took the lead in the 70th minute. Nepal responded quickly with a goal, but the referee disallowed it, sparking protests from the Nepali side. After a lengthy dispute, the match was paused for over an hour.

Prior to this, in the 50th minute, Rekha Paudel received a second yellow card, resulting in a red card, which led to disruptions from the crowd and a further 10-minute delay in the game.
