RSP and cooperative fraud victims stage parallel protests in Kathmandu (In pics)

KATHMANDU: Recently, cooperative fraud victims and the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) have been staging protests in Kathmandu.

Following the arrest of Chair Rabi Lamichhane eight days ago, RSP shifted its focus to the capital, moving from Pokhara to Kathmandu to demand Lamichhane’s release. He is currently under investigation for cooperative fraud and organized crime.

Meanwhile, cooperative fraud victims have continued their own protests. The two groups coincidentally organized separate rallies at Maitighar, with RSP supporters calling for Lamichhane’s release and cooperative fraud victims pressing for justice in their cases.
