KATHMANDU: The monsoon wind is in full swing in Nepal, significantly influenced by a low-pressure system over India’s Maharashtra and surrounding areas.

As of Friday morning, the weather across the country has shifted dramatically.

According to the Weather Forecast Division, light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is being reported in many areas.

This afternoon, the weather is expected to be partly to mostly cloudy nationwide.

Light to moderate rain, along with thunder and lightning, is likely in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, with some precipitation in other regions.

Heavy rainfall is also likely in specific locations within Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as a few areas in Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces.

Tonight, the weather is expected to be partly to mostly cloudy across the country, with a chance of light to moderate rain and thunder in many areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, along with some precipitation in other provinces.
