KATHMANDU: The parliamentary hearings for 17 proposed ambassadors to various countries are scheduled to begin on August 30.

A committee meeting held on Tuesday finalized the schedule for the hearings.

According to Committee Chairman Ishwori Devi Neupane, the first day will be dedicated to discussions with complainants.

Following that, the hearings for the proposed ambassadors will commence.

In recent weeks, lawmakers have raised concerns about the inclusiveness of the ambassadorial nominations.
