RSP holding central committee meeting today

KATHMANDU: The Central Committee meeting of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is taking place today at its central party office in Banasthali.

Today’s agenda includes a discussion on the disciplinary action against Dr. Mukul Dhakal, who was previously removed from his positions as General Secretary, Spokesperson, and central member.

The party will address whether to expel Dhakal from his remaining role as an ordinary member.

Dhakal faces allegations of undermining the party’s interests.

Following the by-elections in Ilam, he visited various districts and prepared a review report critical of party Chairman Rabi Lamichhane’s management and working style.

This internal report was reportedly leaked to the media, leading to Dhakal’s dismissal from his previous roles.

In addition to discussing Dhakal’s case, the meeting will cover contemporary issues, including the operation procedure for the shadow government, organizational strengthening, and expansion plans.
