Monsoon winds bring variable weather nationwide

KATHMANDU: The monsoon is currently affecting the country, with the monsoon low-pressure trough situated south of its normal place.

As of Tuesday morning, the weather is partly to mostly cloudy nationwide.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, light rain is occurring at a few locations in Koshi Province.

This afternoon, the weather will remain partly to mostly cloudy across the country.

There is a chance of light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Lumbini provinces, as well as a few locations in other provinces.

Heavy rain may occur at one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, and Lumbini provinces.

Tonight, the weather will continue to be partly to mostly cloudy.

The Division has indicated a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at a few locations in Koshi, Bagmati, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and at one or two places in the remaining provinces.
