NAC’s grounded aircraft to resume flights today

KATHMANDU: Nepal Airlines Corporation’s (NAC) A-320 aircraft, 9N-AKW, will resume its regular flights starting today, August 27, the NAC announced.

The aircraft was grounded on the evening of August 24 due to technical issues and has been undergoing repairs since then.

Spare parts needed for the repairs were sourced from Miami, USA, and are expected to arrive by tomorrow morning.

Once the repairs are completed, the aircraft will resume its scheduled flights starting from 11 a.m.

NAC Spokesperson Ramesh Paudel said that while regular maintenance was performed, an unforeseen technical problem led to the grounding of the plane.

Consequently, pre-scheduled flights were operated using other available aircraft.
