Kamala Harris officially declares candidacy for US Presidential Elections



KATHMANDU: US Vice President Kamala Harris has officially declared her candidacy for the US presidential elections.

Harris signed the necessary forms, announcing her intention to run for President and emphasized that her campaign, powered by the people, will secure victory in November.

Harris shared the announcement on the social media platform X, stating, “Today, I signed the forms officially declaring my candidacy for President of the United States. I will work hard to earn every vote. And in November, our people-powered campaign will win.”

Former US President Barack Obama endorsed Harris for the presidential race, following Joe Biden’s recent exit.

Additionally, actor and prominent Democratic fundraiser George Clooney and White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre have publicly supported Harris, highlighting her qualifications for the role of the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee.
