KATHMANDU: Two heavyweights of international cricket meet in the last four of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
It was a defense that at times seemed a littel shaky, but England are into the final four of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.
After some less-than-convincing performances, Jos Buttler’s side got the job done in style to make it out of the Super Eights, with the captain himself putting on an unbeaten 83 against the USA, to add to a fine bowling performance – including a hat-trick from Chris Jordan.
The opponents in their way are India, who have looked inexorable thus far this tournament and have gone unbeaten since they began their campaign.
It was skipper Rohit Sharma who led the way against Australia with a fine knock of 92, but the runs have been flowing throughout the order all competition – and the bowling attack, with Jasprit Bumrah in great form, has been fantastic.
The two teams will duke it out for the right to face South Africa for the title – although the toss was delayed due to wet weather in Guyana.
Toss: England win toss and choose to field.
