Jhalanath Khanal denies reports of withdrawing from party Chair race



KATHMANDU: Senior leader of the CPN (Unified Socialist) party, Jhalanath Khanal, has dismissed reports that he is withdrawing from the party chairman race.

Speaking with media personnel after attending a party secretariat meeting, Khanal stated there is no chance he will withdraw from the race.

He further clarified that party leaders have agreed to forge an understanding.

When asked if the party would reach a consensus on electing him as the party chair, Khanal responded, “Why not? There is no reason not to reach an agreement.”
