DC secure thrilling win over MI in high-scoring encounter



KATHMANDU: In a thrilling encounter at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, Delhi Capitals emerged victorious over Mumbai Indians by 10 runs, notching their second consecutive win in the IPL.

Led by a sensational batting display, Jake Fraser-McGurk’s explosive innings of 84 runs off just 27 balls set the stage for Delhi’s imposing total of 257/4.

Fraser-McGurk’s fearless knock was complemented by contributions from Shai Hope (41 off 17), Rishabh Pant (29 off 19), and Tristan Stubbs (48* off 25), who collectively propelled Delhi Capitals to their mammoth total.

Despite a valiant effort from Mumbai Indians in pursuit of the daunting target, Delhi’s bowlers held their nerve and struck crucial blows at key moments.

Rasikh Salam’s impressive spell of 3/34 played a pivotal role in restricting Mumbai’s chase.

In a match filled with twists and turns, Mumbai Indians fought back through impactful performances from Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Tilak Varma, and Tim David.

However, Delhi Capitals’ bowlers, led by Mukesh Kumar, held their nerve in the final over to secure a hard-fought victory.
