KATHMANDU: Voting for the House of Representatives (HoR) by-election is currently underway in Ilam constituency-2 since 7:00 AM today.

As of 4 PM, 68 % or 60,000 votes have been cast, according to Chief District Officer Indra Dev Yadav.

The total number of eligible voters for Ilam-2 stands at 115,889.

The voting process is proceeding peacefully across 149 polling centers.

A total of 19 candidates, including seven independents, are vying for the seat, necessitated by the unfortunate passing of Subash Chandra Nembang, the former HoR member from the constituency, on September 12, 2023.
