Ilam-2 by-election sees 43% voter turnout so far, projected to surpass 65%

KATHMANDU: The District Election Office reports that thus far, 43 percent of the votes have been cast in the Ilam-2 by-election.

During the 2079 BS election, this constituency saw a total of 60 percent voter turnout.

It is projected that the current election will surpass this, with the expected turnout exceeding 65 percent.

The polling, which commenced at 7 AM this morning, is scheduled to conclude at 5 PM this afternoon.

Nineteen candidates are contending for a seat in the House of Representatives from Ilam-2.
