By-election in Ilam: Suhang, Khadka, Limbu cast their votes



PHIKKAL: Candidates of major political parties have cast their votes in the by-election being held today for the member to the House of Representatives in Ilam constituency-2.

The voting is taking place from 7:00 am.

Suhang Nembang of the CPN (UML) and Damber Khadka of the Nepali Congress cast their votes from Mahendra Ratna Multiple Campus voting centre at Ilam municipality-7.

Similarly, Milan Limbu of Rastriya Swatantra Party cast his vote from Mangsebung rural municipality-based Janata Kalyan Basic School voting center while an independent candidate Dekendra Singh Thegim from Phakphokthum rural municipality-3 based Singha Devi Secondary School voting center.

Chief Election Officer Keshav Prasad Ghimire said voting is taking place at 149 voting centers in an enthusiastic and peaceful manner.

The constituency has a total of 115,889 eligible voters.
