Illam-2 By-Election: NC puts forward seven candidates for consideration



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress, the primary opposition party, has put forward a list of seven individuals as potential candidates for the upcoming by-election in Illam-2.

Uddav Thapa, President of the party for Koshi Province, revealed that the recommended candidates consist of five males and two females.

The aspirants include Dambar Bahadur Khadka, Besh Raj Acharya, Keshav Thapa, Nagendra Kumal, Ramesh Lingden, Chandra Maya Limbu, and Shani Kal Tamang.

It is anticipated that the party will endorse Dambar Bahadur Khadka as its official candidate for the by-election.

Illam-2 is scheduled for a by-election on April 27 following the unfortunate demise of Subhash Nembang, a prominent leader and lawmaker of the CPN-UML.
