Rainfall expected in four provinces today

KATHMANDU: Nepal finds itself under the sway of both western and local winds, as per reports from the Weather Forecasting Division.

Throughout the morning, hilly areas, including Koshi Province, are greeted with a mix of partial to complete cloud cover, indicative of the prevailing weather pattern.

As Wednesday unfolds into the afternoon, overcast conditions are expected to dominate hilly regions across Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

Concurrently, other parts of the nation may experience a blend of partly cloudy to mostly clear skies.

Additionally, there’s a likelihood of light rain accompanied by thunder or lightning in selected areas within Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, with isolated instances expected in Madhes province and other hilly locales.

Furthermore, there’s a chance of light snowfall at isolated spots within the high hills and Himalayan regions of these provinces.

As night falls, hilly regions are anticipated to witness partly cloudy to mostly clear conditions, while other parts of the country may experience similar skies.

The Division has also highlighted the possibility of light rain with thunder or lightning in a few hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, along with the persistent chance of light snowfall at isolated spots in the high hills and Himalayan regions of these provinces.
