IN PICS: Nepal bids adieu to music icon Bhaktaraj Acharya



KATHMANDU: The final rites of the revered senior singer and composer Bhaktaraj Acharya were solemnly performed at Aryaghat in Pashupati on Tuesday afternoon.

Acharya’s mortal remains were earlier placed at the Narya Pratisthan of Music and Drama in Naxal for the final rituals.

A multitude of individuals, including politicians, singers, musicians, artists, and the general public, gathered to bid their last farewells to Acharya.

The Aryaghat witnessed a massive assembly of singers, musicians, actors, and members of the public who came together to participate in Acharya’s funeral ceremony.

Fondly known as Bhajan Shiromani, Acharya tragically passed away yesterday while en route to Mediciti Hospital after experiencing a sudden drop in oxygen levels.
