Partial rain likely in Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces



KATHMANDU: Nepal is currently under the partial influence of westerly winds.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the weather this afternoon will be generally cloudy in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, while the remaining parts of the country will experience partly cloudy conditions.

There is a possibility of light snowfall and rain in some places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Gandaki Province.

Additionally, light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely in some areas of the remaining parts of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Tonight, the weather is expected to remain generally cloudy in the mountainous regions of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, while other areas will be partly cloudy.

Moderate snowfall and rain are possible in some places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, with light snowfall and rain likely in one or two locations in the high hilly and mountainous regions of the remaining provinces.

Furthermore, moderate rainfall is likely in some hilly areas of Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, including parts of Karnali and Sudurpaschim, while light rainfall may occur in some areas of the Terai. Thunder and lightning are also possible in parts of the hilly and Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.
