Westerly winds still affecting Nepal’s weather



KATHMANDU: The country is currently under the influence of westerly winds.

At present, the weather in the hilly areas is partly cloudy, while the rest of the country is experiencing mostly clear skies.

The Weather Forecasting Division has reported light fog in a few places in the Terai.

This afternoon, weather conditions are expected to range from partly to generally cloudy in Bagmati Province and Gandaki Province, with the rest of the country remaining partly cloudy to mostly clear.

There is a chance of light rain in one or two locations in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces, as well as light snowfall in some high hilly and mountainous regions.

Tonight, the weather will be partly to generally cloudy in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces. Elsewhere, the weather will remain partly cloudy to mostly clear.

The bulletin issued by the Division in the morning also indicated the possibility of light rain in one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces, along with light snowfall in some high hilly and mountainous areas during the night.
