Maoist established a record of good governance that cannot be erased: Prachanda

KATHMANDU: Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, Chair of the CPN Maoist Centre, claimed that the government led by his party has set a historical record in good governance in Nepal, which cannot be erased by anyone.

Speaking at the warning assembly organized in Kathmandu, Dahal stated that the campaign initiated for good governance, social justice, and economic prosperity has established the first record for Nepal.

After the arrest of suspects in the fake Bhutanese refugee case, Dahal argued that the current government was formed to protect the corrupt.

He noted that the warning assembly held with just four days of preparation has scared the government, questioning what will happen if a larger protest assembly is organized tomorrow.

Dahal stressed that they have presented the issues of the people in a memorandum, warning that if these issues are not taken seriously, the movement will intensify.

He also warned that if the government does not advance the relief, rescue, and rehabilitation efforts for flood and landslide victims, as well as the initiatives they have started for good governance, the energy sector revolution, and the implementation of meritocracy in education, the movement will escalate.
