KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) KP Oli asserted that his government is committed to avoiding corruption and will not engage in bribery.

Speaking at the inauguration of the District Police Complex in Kathmandu on Monday, Oli stated, “This government will consume bread, not bribes.”

He emphasized that his administration will not prosecute anyone unjustly and urged officials to work with confidence.

“There is no attempt to convict anyone unjustly. This government eats bread and butter but does not accept bribes or money,” he stated.

PM Oli also made it clear that his government will not interfere in law enforcement or protect criminals from arrest.

“It is criminal to misuse state power to trap innocent people,” he said, reiterating his commitment to integrity.

He assured that the police have the freedom to perform their duties effectively but stressed that failures will be scrutinized.

“The old approach to policing will not suffice. We must innovate and ensure resources are available before investigations begin,” PM Oli added.
