Monsoon still impacting Nepal’s weather

KATHMANDU: The monsoon is currently affecting the country, with the monsoon trough situated to the south of its usual position.

As of Monday morning, the weather is partly to mostly cloudy across the country.

The Weather Forecast Division has reported light rain with thunder and lightning in some areas of the Koshi and Lumbini provinces.

This afternoon, the weather is expected to remain partly to mostly cloudy nationwide.

There is a chance of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in several places across all provinces.

The Division has also noted a possibility of heavy rain in one or two locations within the hilly areas of Koshi Province.

Tonight, the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy to mostly clear in the southern plains, while the hilly areas of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces will experience partly to mostly cloudy conditions.

The remaining regions will see partly cloudy to mainly clear skies.
