Axis of monsoon trough in usual position, rainfall likely



KATHMANDU: As the Axis of the monsoon trough is at its usual position, weather across the country is partly to generally cloudy with some places witnessing rainfall due to the impact of the monsoon low-pressure system today.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division, it will be generally cloudy throughout the country.

Moderate to heavy rainfall is likely to occur in some places in the country.

There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as a few places in the remaining provinces.

Additionally, there is a chance of heavy rain in Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and a few locations in the Karnali region during the afternoon.

Tonight, the weather is expected to be partly to mostly cloudy across the country.

The bulletin, issued by the Division on Friday morning, highlights the likelihood of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in select areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, along with a few places in the remaining provinces.
