Chinese Vice Minister calls on DPM and Foreign Minister Shrestha



KATHMANDU: Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, Sun Weidong, paid a courtesy call on Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Narayan Kaji Shrestha, today.

In the meeting took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Singha Durbar, they discussed on Nepal-China ties as well as on various matters of mutual interest and concern.

Also, they talked on projects of bilateral cooperation, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On the occasion, Minister for Foreign Affairs Shrestha extended gratitude to the PRC for the cooperation it has been providing in Nepal’s development endeavors and also expressed the confidence that it would continue in future as well.

Vice Minister Weidong was on a three-day official visit to Nepal since Monday in connection with attending the 16th Meeting of Nepal-China Foreign Secretary-level Diplomatic Consultation Mechanism.
He left for China today itself.

Joint Secretary and Head of the North East Asia Division of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Krishna Prasad Dhakal and Ambassador of China to Nepal, Chen Song, bade him farewell at the Tribhuvan International Airport.
