Budhikhola flood sweeps away family members, claims one life, two missing



SUNSARI: Four members of the same family from Sundarharaincha Municipality-5 were swept away by the floodwaters of Budhikhola, situated on the border of Morang and Sunsari districts.

The incident occurred last evening while they were fishing.

One member, 22-year-old Premkala Chaudhary ‘Fudni’, lost her life.

Her body was recovered later, confirmed Ward Chairman Ganesh Chaudhary.

Additionally, two family members remain missing following the flood.

They are 60-year-old Asra Devi Chaudhary, who is the mother-in-law of the deceased woman, and 25-year-old Phula Chaudhary, the elder daughter-in-law of Asra.

However, 22-year-old Swastika Chaudhary, another daughter-in-law, survived the ordeal, according to Ward Chair Chaudhary.
