NC in street protest against Home Minister Lamichhane and cooperatives-related fraud (In photos)



KATHMANDU: The main opposition party in parliament, the Nepali Congress (NC), took to the streets demanding the formation of a parliamentary committee to investigate Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane for his alleged involvement in the cooperative fraud.

On Sunday at 2 pm, various sister organizations including the Nepal Student Union, Tarun Dal Nepal, along with NC leaders and cadres, participated in the protest organized on Exhibition Road, Kathmandu.

The NC, which has been obstructing parliament for many weeks, has now taken to the streets in protest, demanding the formation of a parliamentary committee to investigate Home Minister Lamichhane’s involvement in the cooperative fraud.
